Welcome to the AVU

We would love to offer a massive warm welcome to the huge number of new joiners to the Animation and Visual Effects Union! It’s been truly amazing; it’s a clear sign that we can continue to make a positive change to our industry the more we grow.

Your AVU committee members (all volunteers who work in the industry) continue to represent VFX and Animation workers with the power of BECTU behind us. We have worked hard to ensure this website provides vital information on how to use the AVU, as well as answering many FAQs that are often asked from potential members.

With events unfolding at certain studios, such as the pay cut situation at DNEG, our website has seen thousands of unique views a day. We are extremely pleased members and non-members are finding the website useful and will continue to update everyone with news as soon as we know.
